Mmmmyeahwell…light Yirga on the aeropress…it’s discutable…I like…
We are now rocking the fabulastic Zimbabwe Perzuzu on an even more delicate extraction…freshly baked applecake start and a subtle mandarin-juice finish…spring-coffee to chase away the nasty winter-blues…

Thanks for that addition. I in fact have read about one of their stores being kicked out of the chain and parties even taking it to a judge, as the place was still styled like a typical Bagels & Beans. Guess that was this one. I’ll add a notice to the post!

Definitely the best specialty coffee bar this city has, right on the front side of this Central Station.
If you have to wait for a few minutes, be sure to get your shot of espresso here. They can pull great shots for you, different blends you can choose from.
Also, if you have a few minutes more, make sure you ask for a cup of drip coffee. It’s worth the wait and they can tell you everything about the coffee they serve you.
These guys show absolute passion for coffee in everything from latte art to vac pots.

True. Thankfully most of the ones near me actually do good coffee, although you do get bum ones from the good places sometimes which sucks. Costa Coffee is the worst we had. Had coffee there once and never went back. It was allegedly a latte, Me thinks they just shoved a scoopful of soil into the cup and added hot water with a shot of milk. Never again. I’ve heard of an earthy smelling coffee but I’m pretty sure it’s not literally meant to mean mud flavoured.

Either they just don’t have a clue as to what they’re doing, or they just don’t care, I suppose. Luckily there are more and more places popping up which do know and care! :) I believe there’s some relation between taglines like “best in town” and actual performance. ;)

Why do coffee places do that?! Don’t get me wrong I like a milky/foamy coffee, but coffee is the operative word in that. If I wanted a cup of warm milk, I’d order a damn cup of warm milk!! Sheeeesh!

Hey Michiel,

Thanks for your reply. I’m 100% sure I didn’t order a latte, though, as I never do. In my experience the large/double cappuccino actually had relatively a lot of milk added to it.
I’ll be sure to drop by next time I’ll be in Maastricht or passing through to give the large cappuccino another try. Shouldn’t be a punishment after a two-hour train ride anyway. ;)
